This Privacy Policy explains how Manumit handles information in Split Task, Syllable, and related services. Account use and cloud sync are optional in Syllable and in Split Task's Android app.
1 · Offline & Guest Usage
Local-Only Storage
Without an account, Split Task guest data and Syllable vocabulary progress are stored in local app or browser storage on that device.
No Automatic Data Collection
Guest and offline content is not sent to Manumit's account-sync service. Clearing the app/browser storage or uninstalling the app removes the local copy.
2 · Cloud Synchronization & Account Data
When you create or sign in to a Manumit account and use sync, the service stores the account information and product data needed to provide that sync:
- Account Credentials: The account stores your username and a password hash created on your device; the plain-text password is not sent to the service.
- Split Task: Synced tasks, events, notes, categories, and settings.
- Syllable: Synced vocabulary progress, including encountered words, mastery scores, placement completion, and progress dates.
- Encryption in Transit: All communication between your device and my backend API is encrypted using standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
3 · Storage and Third-Party Infrastructure
Account and synced app data are stored using Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1. Support tickets are stored separately.
- No Data Selling or Advertising: I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, usernames, or app content with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
- Infrastructure Purpose Only: Cloudflare acts strictly as my cloud hosting provider to process database operations and run API routes.
4 · Account & Data Deletion (User Control)
You retain full ownership and control over all of your stored data:
- Account deletion: Use the account deletion page to verify your identity and permanently delete your Manumit account and associated synced Split Task and Syllable data.
- Local copies: Account deletion does not erase guest/offline copies already stored on your devices. Clear the app/browser storage or uninstall the app separately to remove those copies.
- Support tickets: Tickets are stored separately and are not automatically deleted with an account. Resolved tickets are automatically removed after one year; contact support with questions.
5 · Device Permissions
Local Notifications
The mobile app requests permission to schedule native device alerts to remind you of scheduled tasks and events. These notifications are processed entirely on-device by your operating system.
6 · Children’s Privacy
My Service is not directed toward children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account and provided me with personal data, please contact me so I can immediately delete the account and associated records.
7 · Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date at the top.
